Nicholas J. Evashavik

State, Local & Municipal Law Attorney
Pittsburgh, PA

Practicing as a State, Local & Municipal Law Attorney in Pittsburgh, PA and the surrounding counties for over twenty years, I have had the unique opportunity to assist some of our smaller communities grow to meet the fast-paced demands of urban sprawl through real estate development, land use and zoning regulations.

I have represented both private and public interests in numerous aspects of state, local and municipal law, including:

  • Civil Rights
  • Education
  • Taxation
  • Real Estate Development
  • Zoning
  • Land Use
  • Government Law
  • Economic Development

Throughout my career, I have served as Solicitor for many local townships, boroughs and government entities.  I have also served as special municipal counsel and acted as the hearing examiner for many government agencies.

My expertise is not limited to municipal law.  I have a wide-ranging civil litigation practice.  This has entailed representing both employers and employees in workers compensation claims.  My experience in representing both injured workers and employers has given me unique insight into the successful handling of a workers compensation claim from both perspectives.  My ability to effectively manage workers compensation claims has been greatly aided by my civil litigation practice.  I have successfully tried over forty jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania representing both plaintiffs and defendants.  This has included claims for personal injury claims and employment discrimination.

Additionally, I have successfully represented clients charged with DUI and other criminal matters throughout western Pennsylvania for over twenty years.

Finding an appropriate balance that serves the best interest of both the private and public sectors of the community has always been, and will continue to be, my top priority when working with my clients.
